Carnegie Library Project Aug-Dec 2007
Objective: To complete interactive experience for installation in the children's rom of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh in Oakland.
Process: A process of research, brainstorming, concept design, game design, iteration and user testing, fabrication, and installation.
Role: Producer
This project was installed as a kiosk story viewer in the Main Branch of the Carnegie Libraries of Pittsburgh, as well as a flash based story toll called MyStoryMaker available in all children's areas of the libraries system. Screen shots and a picture of the kiosk are below, with a link to the program.

Location Based Entertainment Studio Jan-May 2007
Objective: To complete location based entertainment projects for clients.
Packages used: Studio model with a producer and project leads for each project. A process of research, brainstorming, concept design, fabrication, and installation.
Role: Project lead on the Erie Railroad Museum Project, head of written treatments, budget keeper, secretary for all meetings, fill in for producer when necessary.

Concept Book for America's Music Crossroads
Objective: To create a concept design package for an interactive music experience.
Packages used: Photoshop, Wacom Tablet Intuos3, Word
Role: I wrote the written treatment and designed the backgrounds for the book as well as acted as editor and reviewer for layout, image content, and graphic design.

Concept Book for Erie Railroad Museum
Objective: To create a concept design package for an interactive museum of GE and Erie Railroad history.

Location Based Entertainment Interactive Mural
Objective: To create a floor to ceiling, wall to wall interactive mural scape to welcome and awe visitors to the Entertainment Technology Center, a graduate program of Carnegie Mellon University. The interactivity includes history, people, projects, games, connection to other global campuses, and other information of the graduate program.
Process used: Brainstorming, research, concept renderings, budgeting, construction drawings, fabrication drawings, CAD, CNC router, construction, painting, plastics, acetate printing, wiring, lighting, sound, content creation, and more.
Role: Working with a team of eight we all did a little bit of everything. I helped with fabrication of the actual structure, but my major roles were creating concept art for the console surfacing, and working with our art and animation studio within the graduate program to create final Adobe Illustrator files for the acetate printing. I also managed the purchase lists, estimated budget, and actual spending.

Interactive Visual Storytelling Project
Objective: To create an interactive deliverable that visually tells a story.
Packages used: PhotoShop, Wacom Tablet Intuos2 and Intuos3
Role: I acted as an unnamed producer: organizing the team, assigning roles, running meetings and documenting idea iterations. I created the drawings below that acted as the primary visual user interface. The deliverable implemented the drawings in a flash based program. The drawings show the setting for the narrative, a one-room apartment over five years.
YEAR 1
Woman and man live in their respective apartments and have their first date.

YEAR 2
Woman and man move in together into the woman's apartment.

YEAR 3
Woman and man are married and live in the woman's apartment.

YEAR 4
Woman spends the summer in Ohio on a theater tour, man lives in their apartment and cheats on her.

YEAR 5
Woman and man get divorced, he has moved out of her apartment.
